Introducing Our New Winter Menus

The year has changed and so have our winter menus! Welcome to another new season of flavours at The Black Horse Restaurant, Market Bosworth. Now that we have finished celebrating Christmas and New Year, we are thrilled to introduce an exciting lineup of new dishes that celebrate the best of winter comfort and our culinary creativity.
Lunch and Dinner
Whether you are stopping by for a leisurely lunch, or ready to indulge in an evening of fine dining, our new lunch and a la carte winter menus promise something special for everyone.
If you are joining us for lunch and have time to relax for a while, choose from our range of starters and mains, and if you’re feeling especially indulgent, select a sweet delight from our brand new dessert menu.
If you are looking for something new to start with, why not try our scallops, served with cumin spiced roast carrot, cauliflower, raisin salad, curried parsnip puree and parsnip crisp.
Our 18 hour slow cooked beef brisket, with thyme and garlic pomme anna, crispy onions, sauteed kale and stout jus is our idea of the perfect winter warmer for your main course.
Our a la carte menu is well designed for an evening of dining, from hors d’oeuvre while you wait, to warming starters, and mains. Of course, there is always the option of dessert at the end!
If you enjoy game meats, then you may be excited to try our wild game and juniper sausage roll to start with, served with a nigella seed, sloe gin and cranberry chutney, along with sorrel and watercress.
In the same vein, you can choose our sous vide venison for your main course, served with creamed horseradish mash, braised red cabbage, and a juniper berry and port jus.
Set Menus
Set menus are available within both our lunch and evening menus. Simply look for the dishes that are marked with a * and choose 2 courses for £28.50, or add on a dessert to enjoy 3 courses for £32.
Our Weekly Specials
By popular demand, our fantastic valued weekly specials are back:
Monday Evening
Pie & Wine – Our pies are served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Enjoy a meal for £21.95, or add a glass of house wine for £23.95.
Tuesday Evening
Pasta & Prosecco – Enjoy a winter pasta dish for £20.95, or accompanied with a glass of prosecco for £22.95.
Wednesday Evening
Small Plates – Join us for our tapas style menu and enjoy a range of small plates. Try 3 dishes for £18.
Friday Evening
Our 28 day matured Blackgate steaks are available every Friday evening. Steaks available from £22, served with a choice of hand cut chunky chips or pomme frites, alongside portabella mushroom and cherry tomatoes.
If you are a fan of steak on the bone then why not share a 22oz sirloin steak on the bone (£45) or a 40oz tomahawk (£55).
Valentines Day
Book now for our Valentine’s Set Menu, available on the 14th and 15th February for £140 per couple.
