A Valentine’s Day Menu That is Sure to Impress

Whether you have been with your loved one for only a short time or for many years, Valentine’s day always provides a special occasion to show them what they mean to you, and of course, an opportunity to impress. At the Black Horse, our intimate Market Bosworth restaurant provides the perfect setting for one of the most special date nights of the year, and this 14th February, we have created a special four course Valentine’s day menu that is very much designed to impress!

The Black Horse Valentine’s Day Menu

This year, our Valentine’s day menu will be available on the 14th February only, priced at £150 per couple. To provide the highest level of service for your special day, we will offer our exclusive Valentine’s menu at two sittings, the first at 6pm, and the later sitting at 8:15pm. During each sitting, we will serve four delicious courses that are carefully designed to put you in the mood for romance.

Arrival Drinks

Upon your arrival, as you are seated at your table, our team will greet you with the perfect Valentine’s day Apéritif, a Raspberry Bellini, which combines the sweetness of raspberry infused vodka with the gentle bubbles of prosecco. 

Starters

For our first course, we will offer a choice of four appetising dishes:

HOMEMADE TOMATO & ROASTED RED PEPPER SOUP, BASIL OIL, RUSTIC BREAD, WHIPPED BUTTER (V)

STICKY BRISKET OF BEEF, TOASTED SESAME SEEDS, CRUSHED BUTTERNUT SQUASH COOKED IN ORANGE, CHILLI TAPIOCA CRACKER

TANDOORI MARINATED SCALLOPS, CAULIFLOWER AND YEAST PUREE, CRISPY CHICKPEAS, CUCUMBER YOGURT, WASABI OIL (GF)

PECAN AND HONEY TOPPED BAKED CAMEMBERT SHARER, PARMESAN AND PEPPERCORN TWISTS, RUSTIC BREAD, RED ONION MARMALADE, ROCKER PESTO (FOR 2 PEOPLE)

Mains

Once you have enjoyed your starter course, you will be served a choice of four mouth-watering dishes for the main event:

SCOTCH BEEF FILLET WELLINGTON (SERVED PINK), FONDANT POTATO, CARROT PUREE, HERITAGE CARROTS, RED WINE JUS (PRE ORDER ONLY)

GREENFIELDS RUMP OF LAMB, ROSEMARY BUTTERED CRUSHED NEW POTATO, ROASTED JERUSALEM ARTICHOKE, ARTICHOKE PUREE, RED CURRANT LAMB JUS (GF)

BAKED COD FILLET, NDUJA AND CRAB CROQUETTE, WHITE BEAN AND FENNEL CASSOULET, SAMPHIRE, DILL CREAM SAUCE

OR

BREADED AND FRIED TOFU, STICKY JASMINE RICE, PAN FRIED PAK CHOI, KATSU CURRY SAUCE, SPRING ONIONS (V)

Pre Dessert

To prepare you for dessert, we will serve a zesty pallet cleanser:

MANGO AND LIME SALSA, PASSIONFRUIT SYRUP, LIME GRANITA

If you have a sweet tooth, our special Valentine’s dessert menu provides a choice of:

If you or your loved one have more of a taste for savoury, then you can instead choose our cheese course:

To finish your evening of luxury, simply choose from any of our teas or specialty coffees, all of which are served with a Petit Fours.
